• Customized Processing Services:

Beyond standard grades, Tree Chem can tailor UCO products and processing methods according to your specific requirements for metal ions, inorganic elements, or feedstock origin.

• Sustainable and Low-Carbon Commitment:

To support your sustainability goals, we can utilize designated raw materials upon request, minimizing sourcing risks and helping ensure full traceability and low-carbon compliance.

Application

  • Biodiesel Production: Using waste cooking oil as raw material, biodiesel (BD100) is produced through a process of pretreatment (impurity removal, dehydration, and deacidification) followed by transesterification (chemical, enzymatic, or supercritical). This biodiesel can be used directly in diesel engines or blended with petroleum diesel (such as B5 and B20). Currently, various production methods are available, including chemical, enzymatic, and supercritical methods.
  • Sustainable Aviation Fuel: Through a hydrodeoxygenation and isomerization process, waste cooking oil is converted into sustainable aviation fuel that meets aviation standards (ASTM D7566). This process reduces carbon emissions by over 80%, making it a key path to achieving carbon neutrality in the aviation industry.
  • UCO is also used in the daily chemical industry in soaps, toilet soaps, detergents, and cleaning agents, and in agriculture for animal feed and biofertilizer.
  • UCO also has applications in some niche fields. For example, in the field of bio-based materials, UCO can be converted into basic chemical raw materials such as fatty acid methyl esters and glycerol through “cracking reactions” and used in the production of plastic plasticizers, coatings, lubricants, etc. For example, in environmental protection, UCO is used as a “biological carbon source” in sewage treatment. The fatty acids in waste cooking oil can be decomposed by microorganisms, providing energy for denitrifying bacteria and improving the efficiency of sewage denitrification.

Storage & Handling

  • Store in clean, sealed tanks to prevent water contamination.
  • Maintain 20–25 °C for smooth transfer and low viscosity.
  • Separate different origins; blend only after FFA/MIU quick test.
  • Use nitrogen blanketing for oxidation control.
  • Suitable for ISO tank or Flexitank bulk transport.

Usage Notice

  • Industrial use only — not for human or animal consumption.
  • Check FFA, MIU, sulfur, phosphorus, and metals before refining.
  • Ensure compliance with local sustainability and waste-oil regulations.
  • Accompany all shipments with ISCC EU/PLUS documentation.
